Welcome to the Home of the Cannon Falls Bears

WOW! AMAZING! AWESOME! These are just a few words that can explain this past weekend for the Bears. The Bears had their best weekend and by far their most exciting weekend of the entire year, maybe even the best and most exciting since their rebirth in 1986.  On Saturday they played against Elrosa which ended up being a marathon game where the Bears came out on top after fourteen innings and a Rich Burr heroic home run!  Much to the Bears surprise the very next day they would venture into more free baseball for the fans against the St. Cloud Snappers and would once again come out on top after twelve innings and more heroics, this time from a young Bear Logan Godfrey, on a walk-off single to score Matt Klein from third base.

The Bears want to once again thank their fans for all of their support and we cannot wait to see you again on Friday in Arlington at 6:00pm.

GO BEARS!

Another big congratulations goes out to the Cannon Falls Bears for winning their first game at the Minnesota Amateur State Tournament.  They defeated the Brainard Braves in a great pitchers battle by a score of 2 to 1.  This win takes the Bears to the second game of state against the Elrosa Saints. This game will be played again in Gaylord at 1:30pm.

It is a big weekend for the CCVL as all four CCVL state tournament teams will be playing in Gaylord throughout the day.

The Bears would like to thank all of the fans that made it to Gaylord last weekend for the game against Brainard. We are looking forward to seeing you all there again along with all of the other CCVL fans supporting this great league!

A big congratulations goes out to the Cannon Falls Bears for their first ever Region 3C championship. The Bears won three games in a row against three very good teams to put them back into the state tournament. (Union Hill, St. Patrick, Hampton) This put them into the region 3C championship game for state seeding where they once again faced Hampton. They defeated Hampton for the championship.  They now have the opportunity to play in Gaylord, MN at the 2009 Amateur State Tournament.  They will be facing the Brainard Braves on Sunday at 1:30pm.  The Bears hope to see all of you there!

The Bears would also like to thank all of the fans who have been following the Bears throughout the year.  Without all of you, the Bears organization wouldn't be as successful as it is!

GO BEARS!
